Looooong Night

Last night was one of those nights you just want to end. I got home late because of a project at work. I was rushing to let Madison out, since Mike was at school. When I walked up the stairs, I smelled poop. She had diarrhea ALL OVER her kennel. So, I spent the first 45 minutes of my time at home cleaning that up.

Next, I head into the kitchen. We are infested with these tiny, little flea like bugs. I noticed them on Monday and thought nothing of it. Each day it has gotten worse, especially after I use the bug spray RAID. So, I sprayed down everything, took Madison to the store with me and bought more cleaning supplies. Then, I proceeded to spend the next 2 1/2 hours on my hands and knees cleaning all the floors in the house. (they are in both bathrooms too). When I returned an hour later to check, more bugs were back. We've checked everything and can't find where they are coming from. I hate bugs, especially in the kitchen where you are preparing food. I'm more concerned about using the RAID in there. And trying to keep Madison from licking it.

To finish off the evening, my Mom called. TJ has now joined my other 2 doggies in what I hope is a dog heaven like no other. The time finally came where they had to put him to sleep. I last saw him on Sunday, and he was in tough shape. I don't think he even knew me anymore. Monday night he had a bad seizure, the worst yet. And so, the time was set. I hope TJ is running like crazy chasing chipmunks and cats, his two passions. We'll miss him so much. He was by far the most interesting and personable dog we've ever had. If anyone gets a chance, drop an email to Mom and Barry. They are missing him lots.

And so, Madison heads off to stay with Mom & Barry this weekend while we go to Duluth for a wedding. Hopefully she is a help, not a poop head. :) We are looking forward to a nice weekend with our friends.
