Had a good birthday. 27 was painless, but like I said, the number itself feels old.

MN was hit good with a snowstorm (finally) and it closed pretty much everything. Was able to stay home because our policy is when the St. Paul schools are closed, so are we. However, we all worked at home. Calling kids, adults, whatever to have them call their damn legislator. The House voted this morning to take $350 million of the endowment to fund some of the debt. It's not sounding like it will get through the Senate too far, but we're not sure. I hate this crap and i'm sooooo sick of fighting it. I have to admit, I didn't do much today but my laundry. I designed 20-30 email blasts yesterday to kids and called around 30 of them. I guess I'm just wearing out.

Mike is gone this weekend up north, so I'm on my own again. I'm taking a nap and reading my books. BTW-seeing Doris Kearns Goodwin speak was AWESOME! I enjoyed it a lot. Madeline Albright is coming next month and I'm tempted to go hear her speak too.
